Description of the Solar Connector
The Solar connector is a single contact electrical connector. They are often used to connect solar panels. MC4 is an acronym for “Multi-Contact, 4mm”. It is the standard in the renewable energy industry. The connectors make it easy to build photovoltaic panel arrays. In today’s solar market, Solar connectors and their compatible products are fully utilized. In most cases, large solar panels are already equipped with MC4 connectors. A solar panel is a plastic base circular housing with a single conductor in a male/female pair. With a notched interlock, the MC4 connectors can be terminated to each other to avoid accidental pulling apart.
